Hanlon (2010) chosen for ESPN Rise game

Congratulations to Ellie Hanlon, Intrepid Orange 2010, who was invited to play in the inaugural Girls' High School Showcase as part of
the ESPN Rise Games.
80 of the top high school players in the country will be featured, representing all corners of the United States. They will be competing in a four-team format over three days. The ESPN Rise Games are a weeklong, multi-sport event that are the culmination of ESPN's 20-year history of
covering high school sports. ESPN RISE also represents ESPN?s commitment to engage and elevate high school athletes by providing them with recognition, resources, information and inspiration that can motivate them to improve their skills and achieve their goals to be the best athletes they can be. US Lacrosse and the RISE games will give amateur athletes from across the country a way to RISE to the next level of
competition.

Congratulations to the following players who were chosen to represent Western Pennsylvania in the US Lacrosse National Tournament in Baltimore over Memorial Day weekend.
Haley Schemm, Drew Hayden, Lauren Moran, Autumn Held, Carly Luitgaarden, Brittany Byerly, Sarah Bootman, Natalie Bonaroti, Alexis Wilkerson, Macey Hill.
We also wish to acknowledge the seven former players who were selected:
Caroline Ross, Sam Struss, Katie Denning, Olivia Ahearn, Charlotte Lampenfeld, Rachel Berquist and Taylor Mayeda.

Congratulations to Ellie Hanlon, an Intrepid 2010 player, who was recently selected by the Post-Gazette as Athlete of the Week. Ellie will be continuing her lacrosse career at the University of Florida. Good luck Ellie. (See link below for article)

The mission of the club is to promote
the growth of girls’ lacrosse, and to field competitive teams
by developing advanced playing skills, game knowledge, confidence,
responsible decision-making, teamwork and good sportsmanship.
This mission will be accomplished by retaining inspirational
and dedicated coaches who will professionally and consistently
teach the modern game; treat every player with dignity and
respect; and recruit the best players, encourage teamwork, stress
physical fitness and strive to make Intrepid a fun-filled and
positive experience for all members.
