We participated in three tournaments against some of the best competition in the country:

  • National Draw in Southern New Jersey
  • Upper Atlantic outside Philadelphia, PA
  • All Star Express outside Annapolis, MD

The team came together quickly and played well at the National Draw just missing the playoffs. We were disappointed we didn’t make the playoffs but very satisfied with our 2-2 record. We had a learning experience at the Upper Atlantic Tournament. We played several of the best teams in the nation and while we competed physically, we struggled keeping up skill wise. The team worked very hard in practice following that tournament and when we arrived at All Star Express we were much improved and ready to play. We played 8 games, seven in one day, on a very hot Maryland weekend and performed well. The All Star Express is a recruiting tournament not a competitive one. The objective was to make college coaches take notice and we did just that. The team played hard, with heart and we were in every game. We accomplished out goal of impressing college coaches.

The summer was extremely successful for the 2006 team. We now have our sites set on recruiting tournaments in October and November.
